Project LemonLink The school district of Lemon Grove, CA, previously considered an isolated rural community, has created a Connected Learning Community through business and community partnerships. The project provides students and their families wiith access to computers and the Internet. Classrooms have a 2:1 student/computer ratio. Results have shown that the technology is having a positive impact on student achievement. Bishop Hartley High School tablet PC program Since 2003, Bishop Hartley High School in Columbus, Ohio has provided tablet PC computers to their seniors and installed wireless connectivity throughout the school. The program has been expanded to include their junior class also and other classes are served through mobile labs. An Ohio State evaluatuion study showed that students find school more enjoyable, the tablets are replacing other tools for accomplishing daily tasks, and students are better able to organize class notes. |
